Sometimes when I want to write about something, it has nothing to do with comics. It might be about movies, video games, design, current events, or just trip photos from Japan that don’t have a lot to do with nerd-culture and are instead just lovely photos I’ve taken of temples inside a forest.
Often when I think about writing these things, I will stop myself. “My readers…” I sigh, “…at Comics212 would have no interest in that. It says so right in the title. COMICS.” Once in a while I’ll delude myself into thinking there’s some link (see:photos of Japanese beaches), but more often than not I simply will write nothing at all. And getting out of the habit of writing… or worse, making some 140 character ‘update’… means that often I don’t write at all, at Comic212.net or otherwise.
So I have a new blog.
I can’t promise… well, anything really. I would like to have an outlet for my writing that isn’t about comics. It would be nice if people followed along, but if they don’t that’s okay too. Whether you’re my friend or enemy or just some person off the street, you’re under no obligation–unspoken or otherwise–to bother with this. But again, it would be nice. I mean, I’m going to post about things that _I_ at least think are interesting. Maybe you’ll think so too?
